— about us
Torrcaffè. Simply wood roasted
It was 1960 and Federico Fellini’s film “La Dolce Vita” had just been released. The same year, in the heart of the Italian Food Valley, Otello Nironi fell in love with coffee. His love for coffee, his typical Emilian determination and his business acumen soon turned Otello’s dream into a full-time job: and so the family business where it all began was created.
— the story
Roasted with wood from the Italian Apennines
Torrcaffè has always used the wood-fired roasting method to guarantee the highest quality standards using a completely artisan process. It is a delicate phase which requires great skill: every single bean is roasted evenly through precise roasting times to preserve its full flavour and bold aroma. The wood used is a prized combination of black oak and white beech from the forests of the Apennines, all locally sourced and environmentally-friendly.
