Torrcaffè wins at SIGEP World 2026 with Barriqo

Torrcaffè S.r.l. received prestigious recognition at the Lorenzo Cagnoni Innovation Awards during SIGEP – The World Dolce Food & Beverage Expo in Rimini. The international jury awarded the new Barriqo product, placing it among the best in food innovation presented at the event.

The award ceremony, held on 16 January 2026 during the leading trade fair for the ice cream, pastry, bakery and beverage sectors, saw Torrcaffè receive a mention in the Ingredients & Semi-Finished Goods category thanks to the quality, originality and innovative vision behind Barriqo.

Barriqo represents a new frontier in the coffee landscape: born from Torrcaffè’s centuries-old experience in wood roasting, this product combines artisan technique and sensory creativity to offer a unique taste experience. The Barriqo line – part of the Torrcaffè product family – stands out for its balance of aromas and the distinctive character of a patented method in which the coffee is aged in virgin cherry wood barrels with controlled, daily rotation, a method previously reserved only for wine.
